“Artificial” Sperm

Scientists in England have created sperm from stem cells.

This is wrong on so many levels it isn’t funny.

While I applaud “real” stem cell research (attempting to cure diseases through stem cell research), this, as far as I’m concerned, as playing God.

Also, what happens if it turns out that the sperm they make in laboratories can fertilize an egg AND produce functioning human beings? I guess the only thing us guys would be good for is taking out the garbage and lifting heavy objects.

You’re all a bunch of sick puppies (and that MI6 Stuff Up)

First of all. I’d like to say you’re all a bunch of sick puppies (in a good way fo course). Ever since I put up that pose about Sexvilla, I’ve been getting a lot of views and searches. There are more “experienced” Sexvilla users out there, but if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to comment and I’ll answer as best I can.

Now on to that MI6 screw up. What I would like to know, is how the hell did Susan  Sawers wife, man to become the head of MI6 (England’s answer to the CIA) even think that it was a good idea to put up photos of where they went on holiday, and pictures of her husband? I mean come on, the woman’s been married to the man probably since he was a spy. She really should know better than to go splashing their private lives on the internet. Because let’s face it, once your life is on the internet, it isn’t private anymore. It’s out there for the entire world to see (hence the reason why I don’t have Myspace, Facebook or any other social networking page). I don’t even have  a personal webpage. I never know what to put on the thing, and anything I do put there is not going to be pictures of myself, family or friends. Maybe my yacht when I get it, but that’s it. My private life is just that:private. I don’t need to splash it all over Myspace or Facebook (as I write this, I’m re-considering, but just yacht stuff, boring I know but hey, there might be other people in my area who also race model yachts. In fact, I know there are, just not the once I want to race, as far as I know).

Let this be a lesson to every other Facebook and Myspace user: be careful about what you put on your page, as you never who’s life you might be affecting by doing so.

Sailing Part 4

Remember that yacht I got for Christmas?

It’s stuffed.

I won’t go into it as it is a rather long, boring story

The good news is there is another yacht that I want to get that isn’t a piece of shit made in Chine. Ok, yes, it’s made in China, but from the sources and information I’ve found on the internet, it’s a rather good first boat (I don’t count my Triumph 800 as my first yacht, it’s more like a floating piece of junk).

It’s called a Victoria, and it’s a kit yacht. Meaning I pretty have to build it from scratch, except the hull, which is already moulded into shape.

All up, it’s going to cost close to $500 with radio control equipment, batteries and a charger. There are after-market upgrades you can get from various third-party vendors, but they’re more for racing than pleasure.

Hopefully I can get it just before Christmas.

And this time, I am going to be patient and wait for the right wind conditions to sail it.
